On the other hand, putlogs and putlog couplers are used to connect the ledgers. A Single scaffold should be placed parallel to the building. Because it’s normally used in brick masonry, this scaffold has been nicknamed as the bricklayers’ scaffold. It’s one of the best structures that bricklayers can use because it’s very easy to set up and provides them with much-needed convenience.
4. Double Scaffolding
The structure is commonly used in construction sites that involve stone masonry. It should be noted that it’s not easy to make holes that support putlogs in stone walls. So, a double scaffold consists of two scaffolds that are used to create a strong construction structure. There are usually two rows and the first one needs to be placed very close to the wall i.e. 20-25 metres while the 2nd row should be around one metre from the first one. Thereafter, the end of the ledgers will be used to support the putlogs, creating an independent but secure platform for use.
